iDocus and Scribee

An e-invoicing platform approved by the French State within one week of filing

iDocus, 2024 to 2025

iDocus is a pre-accounting solution for accounting firms and businesses: it processes their invoices and bank statements so they no longer key in accounting entries.

Years after Neatops, Thomas Andrieu, CTPO of iDocus and Scribee, wanted to work with me again, offering me new contracts. Working full-time from October 2024 to November 2025, I modernized the iDocus UI and backend, and started its component library.

Scribee, 2025 to 2026

Under the French e-invoicing reform, every French company must be able to receive e-invoices through an approved platform from September 1, 2026.

As a full-time senior full stack developer, I built Scribee's platform from zero with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, ERB views, a custom ViewComponent component library and Hotwire (Turbo, Stimulus). I also built its iOS and Android apps in Flutter, which I designed too; they are not in the stores yet.

For OCR and the processing of uploaded documents, I integrated Mistral AI, because the platform needed a European provider.

I designed the team's agentic workflow: skills, agents, orchestration and quality gates on every change, so a small team shipped features and fixes with confidence.

Scribee was approved as a "Plateforme Agréée par l'État" (a State-approved platform) within one week of filing.

Chronogolf, 2014 to 2018

From zero to hundreds of thousands of daily users

In 2014, Chronogolf was a startup of 5 people building software for the golf industry.

As the company's first developer, I designed its backend in Ruby on Rails, with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis and Sidekiq, and scaled it with the product. I also built the development team as the company grew.

The backend went from zero to hundreds of thousands of daily users, and the company from 5 to 45+ people, including 10 developers. Chronogolf was later acquired by Lightspeed.

Olivier joined Chronogolf on a full-time basis in 2014 when we were a small startup of 5 employees and played a crucial role in allowing us to scale to a team of 45+ individuals including 10 software engineers. Over a tenure of 4+ years with Chronogolf, Olivier demonstrated an incredible capacity to adapt with the growth of the company. Olivier is a natural leader and creative thinker who has the best interest of the business in mind when leading any project or mandate he is taking on. Beyond his strong technical capabilities as a backend engineer, he is also an altruistic colleague who leads by example. It was a privilege to work with him over the years.

Homeric helps organizations run large-scale transformations: interactive playbooks rolled out across teams, automated follow-ups and real-time tracking of how practices are adopted.

As a co-founder, I built its backend from day one, in Ruby on Rails with PostgreSQL and GraphQL.

Mirego: Canadiens de Montréal, vHub and La Presse

Mirego is a multidisciplinary development, strategy and design team, based in Quebec City and Montreal, that builds digital products, web and mobile apps among them, for its partners. As a Mirego employee, I worked in Elixir and Phoenix on the backend of the Canadiens de Montréal mobile app: news, scores, exclusive content and ticketing. I also worked on vHub, a trailer-sharing platform for the transportation industry, in Elixir, Phoenix and React.

For La Presse, which had become a non-profit, I worked on its new way of funding itself through donations, which lets anyone support the news outlet with a one-time or recurring donation.

Petal: a care platform ready for thousands of users

Petal gives healthcare organizations a secure platform to orchestrate patient care workflows in real time. As a backend developer in Ruby on Rails, I helped the team build a scalable, reliable platform that can handle thousands of users.
